Vanesa is an expert in public policy and regional development, with nearly 20 years of experience in both the public and private sectors. At the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), she works to promote and coordinate sectoral integration, trade, and tourism projects, with a particular focus on the dynamics of the Amazon region. Before joining the IDB, Vanesa held positions at Spain’s Ministries of Finance and of Transport, Mobility, and Urban Agenda, providing strategic advice on the design and evaluation of public policies. In the private sector, she managed the implementation of public infrastructure projects. Vanesa holds degrees in Technical Architecture and Building Engineering from the Polytechnic and European Universities of Madrid, respectively, and a Master’s in Urban Innovation and Sustainable Development from the Open University of Catalonia.
