Paola Méndez

Con más de 10 años de experiencia en el sector infraestructura, ha apoyado el diseño, implementación y evaluación de operaciones en áreas de energía y vivienda en diversos países de América Latina y el Caribe. Inicialmente como consultora para la División de Energía del BID, apoyó el desarrollo de operaciones y de conocimiento en temas de electrificación rural, energía solar y de eficiencia energética. Actualmente apoya a la División de Agua y Saneamiento (WSA) en el desarrollo de productos de conocimiento en temas de acceso a agua y saneamiento, eficiencia energética y manejo de residuos sólidos en la región. Antes del llegar al BID, trabajó en la Agencia Alemana de Cooperación Internacional (GIZ), en Alemania y Chile, apoyando transversalmente iniciativas bilaterales de cooperación técnica en el sector energético. Ha trabajado, adicionalmente, como consultora independiente para diversas organizaciones del sector público y privado. Es candidata a Doctor en Economía de la Universidad de Dauphine, cuenta con una Maestría en Desarrollo y Economía de la Universidad de Versalles en Francia y con el título de Ingeniera Civil Industrial Eléctrico de la Universidad Federico Santa María de Chile.
