Monica is Nicaraguan. Specialist in Public-Private Partnerships and Systems Thinker. Founder of ALTAMIRA. She applies economics of infrastructures and systems analysis to finance regenerative systems. With extensive global experience, she is a multidisciplinary thought leader who has advised governments and Multilateral Development Banks to catalyze private sector investments in infrastructure, water security, climate change adaptation and natural infrastructure. Previously Director of Climate Impact at WaterEquity, Specialist at the Netherlands Water Institute (Deltares) and Advisor to the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water. Mónica holds a Doctorate (PhD) in Engineering and Economics of Infrastructure, and a Master's degree in Systems Engineering, Policy Analysis and Management from Delft University of Technology (TUDelft).
