Carolina Piamonte
is a consultant in the Water and Sanitation Division of the IDB. During her 5 years of experience in the waste sector she has worked for the public and private sector in Colombia, leading projects related to the inclusion of waste pickers, circular economy, and regulation. Currently, she supports the Bank's waste team through the development of technical notes, knowledge products, project monitoring and partnerships, among others. Carolina holds a Master's degree in Environmental Engineering from Universidad de los Andes in Bogotá, and is currently completing a Master's degree in Environmental Technology: Economics and Policy at Imperial College London.
