Advisor, Public-Private Partnerships Group, The World Bank Olivier Frémond is currently advisor in the Public-Private Partnerships Cross-Cutting Solution Area of the World Bank in Washington DC., and represents the World Bank in the G20 Investment in Infrastructure Working Group. From 2006 to 2015, he served as the World Bank Country Manager for Gabon, Sao Tome & Principe, and Equatorial Guinea (2006-20010), then as a Country Manager in Benin (2011-2015). Prior to taking duty in Africa, Olivier was Program Coordinator in the Corporate Governance Department of the World Bank. He also worked as a Lead Specialist in privatization, public-private partnerships, capital market development, and corporate restructuring in the Private Sector Development Department of the World Bank. Before joining the Bank, Olivier Frémond worked for the Royal Dutch Shell as a petroleum engineer (1980-84), for Wood Mackenzie as a petroleum analyst, and in investment banks J Henry Schroder Wagg, Prudential Bache, and Citicorp as a mergers and acquisition and project finance expert. He has authored several publications on privatization and corporate governance. Olivier Frémond graduated in geoscience from Paris VII University.
