Andrea Varvaro
Andrea is a lawyer who graduated from Universidad Católica Andrés Bello and holds a master’s degree in Marketing from IESA. She is currently part of the IDB Lab, working with the Ecosystem Building and Acceleration Unit on various projects, primarily focused on migration and the silver economy. Her work centers on supporting the development and mapping of economic opportunities in the region, promoting inclusive innovation ecosystems, especially for vulnerable populations such as older adults, migrant communities, and entrepreneurs with disabilities. Prior to this, Andrea was involved in strengthening civil society organizations and social enterprises, promoting business models with social impact. She participated in migration-related initiatives during her academic years, working with Colombians displaced by conflict and later with a community organization aimed at preventing the mass exodus from Venezuela through food security programs and livelihood initiatives.
