Gian Luigi Albano is Division Head at Consip, Italy’s Central Purchasing Body, Adjunct Professor of Economics at LUISS "G. Carli" University in Rome, and Associate Researcher at the Public Procurement Research Center at Utrecht University. He is co-author of the book "The Law and Economics of Framework Agreements — Designing Flexible Solutions for Public Procurement" (Cambridge University Press, 2016), and currently serves as Associate Editor of the Journal of Public Procurement. Dr. Albano is a public procurement expert for the European Commission, the Inter-American Development Bank, the OECD, and the World Bank. He also contributes to the "Economics module" in the Master in Public Procurement Management for Sustainable Development at the International Training Centre of the ILO in Turin, Italy. In October 2024, Dr. Albano was elected Fellow of the United States National Academy of Public Administration.
