Lucia Cortina Correa
She is currently a Consultant for the Energy Division in the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), supporting IDB operations with the Mexican energy sector. Lucia has more than 15 years of experience in the fields of energy, environment and climate change. During this time, she has worked with government agencies and international, bilateral and multilateral organizations in the topics of renewable energy, energy efficiency, mitigation projects and methodologies, MRV and climate planning. Previously, she was Director of Climate Change Mitigation Policy in the Secretariat of Environment and Natural Resources of Mexico (SEMARNAT) and collaborated with the General Direction of Environmental Regulation in the Ministry of Environment of Mexico City. Lucia holds a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the Universidad Iberoamericana and a master’s degree in Environmental Engineering from the University of Queensland, in Australia. Recently she got certified as an expert in “Climate and Renewable Energy Finance” by the Frankfurt School of Finance and Management.
