an Mills is the Unit Chief for the ONE Caribbean Coordinating Unit within the Caribbean Country Department (CCB). He is a senior professional working on climate resilience, citizen security, food security and private sector development across the Caribbean with 20 years' experience in strategic leadership, portfolio management, program design and delivery, technical advisory work, operations and policy influencing. ONE Caribbean is the IDB Group's regional strategic framework to promote sustainable development in the Caribbean. With a “ONE Bank” and “ONE region” approach it aims to achieve greater impact and scalability by identifying and prioritizing ambitious and transformational initiatives for the Caribbean. Beneficiary countries include Barbados, Belize, Guyana, Jamaica, Suriname, The Bahamas, Trinidad & Tobago. Through our partnership with the Caribbean Development Bank, the OECS are indirectly included in this framework. ONE Caribbean embraces and builds on the IDB Group’s new Institutional Strategy by selecting four regional priorities: a) climate adaptation and resilience and disaster risk management; b) citizen security; c) private sector engagement, and; d) food security; and includes the strengthening of institutions and facilitating digital transformation as crosscutting areas.
