Cristina Mecerreyes

Cristina Mecerreyes holds a background in aeronautical engineering and hydrogeology. She is a senior consultant in water and sanitation with over 15 years of experience in international cooperation. She has worked with the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), leading key projects to bridge service gaps in rural areas of Latin America. Her experience includes strategic and technical advising to governments and agencies in countries such as Bolivia, Peru, Tanzania, and Mozambique. Previously, she held coordination roles at the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID), as well as in environmental consulting and NGOs. She specializes in strategic planning, sustainability, and adaptation of WASH (water, sanitation, and hygiene) solutions for rural and indigenous communities.
