Valeria Massarelli is a consultant at the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) and a media professional and storyteller with over nine years of experience in news production, content strategy, and communications. Throughout her career, she has led creative teams and produced award-winning programs such as Efecto Naím, a show that explored global trends including climate change, geopolitical shifts, sustainable development, and economic transformation. In addition to her work in television, Valeria has managed high-impact communication campaigns for both public and private sector clients, engaging wide audiences across Latin America and the Caribbean. As a documentary producer and director, she has tackled complex social issues, using strategic communication to spark dialogue and promote positive change. She currently lives in Washington, D.C., where she continues to merge her passion for storytelling with her commitment to sustainable development and social justice. Valeria holds a master’s degree in journalism from Georgetown University.
