Juliana Pinillos
Juliana Pinillos is a doctoral student in economics at the University of Southern California. Her research interests focus on inequality in developing countries and the way it relates to health and environmental issues. Through her research, Juliana seeks to combine empirical evidence with economic theory with the aim of helping to design more effective policies. She has worked on different topics, including informal urban settlements, rural development, and the impact of natural disasters in Latin American countries. She holds a master’s degree from the Paris School of Economics and Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne University. Before joining the Inter-American Development Bank as a Research Assistant, she worked at the International Center for Tropical Agriculture. She also has experience in the academic sector as Instructor in economics at Sciences Po.
