Abia Leonce

Abia Leonce is an energetic environmental advocate with a passion for climate justice, sustainable development, and communications. With a First-Class Honours graduate in International Relations and Spanish from the University of the West Indies, she has led impactful initiatives, including stakeholder consultations on the BBNJ Treaty and coral reef rejuvenation projects. Along with her experience at the IDB as the communications assistant and at Island Innovation as a project manager in Trinidad and Tobago, she has also gained proficiency in project planning, stakeholder engagement, and collaboration. A zealous advocate, she’s spearheaded environmental campaigns, workshops, and youth empowerment programs across the Caribbean. She believes she brings a collaborative spirit, technical skills, and a commitment to building sustainable, inclusive environments.
